My client needs to make PDF files that approach 50MB available for download from his website. I wouldn’t blink at just offering a Save/Open option for files under 10MB. These large files concern me, though. Can I stream these reliably? If so, can you point me to any code? Thanks

If you declare a class member as “private” in C++ or Object Pascal (Delphi), derived classes can’t refer to or use it. What’s the point? How could the person writing the base class possibly know that no derived classes in the future will ever need to use the private members? Why does the language even allow that?

When I try to send a voice clip on MSN, it only records what I have playing on my computer. Like, if I have iTunes playing a song, it’ll record that but wont record what I say into the microphone. It’s plugged into the right spot. I think it’s something with the settings on my computer.
