I am wondering why someone would bother to make a computer virus. It is possible I am wondering this because I have no idea what viruses really do, so let me explain. I have always been under the impression that a computer virus is a program that someone designed to attack and harm a computer, but without any other real purpose. If that is what they are for, what is the point? Why would someone sit around and design something that damages something without getting any money or anything out of it? Or maybe viruses aren’t really designed to be bad? Just bad programming?

Thoughts?

I just wonder what is the most and the best to use programming software to create a devastating computer virus. I know some programming languages like C++, visual basic, etc.

My Laptop pretty much died after a evil Trojan horse uploaded itself onto my hard drive. I can’t seem to get in the computer the usual way and attempt to reboot the system from a back up point. What I wouldn’t mind doing is wiping it clean of everything and getting a running system and start all over again.

The problem is…….I am lost on how to do so.
Any suggestions?

I’ve used avast to get rid of most of the virus but some of the things it’s deleted were system32 files that were critical to logging in and to the computer.
I’m planning on reformatting my computer as soon as I get the disk.
I’m running PuppyLinux right now and it says that there is a network connection but when I try going to a webpage it doesn’t let me.
Any suggestions on what I can do to bypass this virus and be able to access the Internet.

Right now I’m just using my iPod touch.

I work at an office and a computer virus uploaded itself onto my computer and is doing weird stuff to my computer. How can i get rid of it?
