The web host is free but includes a mySQL server. Most the files I have are PHP. I was told in another tutorial to place all the files in the root/public_html directory. Is this right? How do I know which files to place in the mySQL server, and how do I?

I am experimenting with how PHP and mySQL works. I’m using a free host to test it all (freehostia). There is an install php file in my website directory as well as an SQL file called db. How do I setup the database on the host and install the php so everything works with each other. Any input would be great.

I am trying to install Bamboo Invoice into my site that is hosted at BlueHost. I know nothing about PHP, have no experience, but i think it may be as simple as finding a directory to unzip the zip file into.
I think bluehost may have some sort of tool to make this easier. If I have the right idea about simply extracting the zip, where do I unzip it? and where do I go to access the program? Thanks for the help.

I’m totally lost here. I am reading a book on php and it says about installing it on windows. I thought php is something that is installed on the web server and not your operating system. What is this for? I am a little confused here.

The problem is I don’t know how to install the package. I clicked open the package file, and try to install them, but failed somewhere in 2626.

Please tell me what I should do to install it.
